Good morning, cherubs! It's Wednesday....halfway through the week....which is only slightly dragging....which is making me slightly whiny...but I digress. As much as I would love to take part in Jenn's What I Ate Wednesday, I haven't taken many food pictures this week, since I'm pouting about having to make my food now that the boy is back on his base (thank heavens for frozen leftovers, though), so I'm going to opt out this week...YOU should totally still check it out. It's always a fun, mouth watering time. Instead, however, I decided I would steal an idea from this girl (and this one, too) and create a numbers post, since numbers look fun to me right now...I have no idea why, but I'm rolling with it anyway. Meaningful numbers to me right now include...
3...days of work left at my center (including today). Definitely ready for a change and very happy and thankful for this opportunity to do so.
2...co-teachers and I are going to get mani/pedis on February 9. And, yes, I'm already excited and counting down the days (31 to be exact).

58...days till the boy comes home for good. SQUEALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL. (and yes, I do, in fact, have a post it note countdown on my desktop that I excitedly change each morning....see?)
Clearly taken a few days ago...but you get the idea
14...cherubs I had in class yesterday, who gave me countless hugs and even more smiles just by being their crazy selves.
6...miles I ran this morning. Pretty damn good ones, too. Least icy run to date in three weeks. I only almost slipped and fell twice. Progress, people, progress.
27...days until Smash returns. I've been waiting for months. Bout time NBC.
Love, love, love.
46...songs on my running/working out playlist. I need some new material, though. I'm definitely getting bored with many of the selections on there. Suggestions are welcome.
68....recipes pinned on Pinterest. Guess I should stop whining about not having someone to cook for me, and get on those. Unless someone wants to take a look and do it for me?
16...songs on the cd the boy made me for Christmas...which I have been listening to non stop since Sunday. It's a good one, friends.
65...degrees on Saturday. Hello long run without looking like a marshmallow.
So true.
3...different breakfasts, lunches, and dinners I've had this week. And only one of those lunches was a salad...the others were leftover Chinese and chili with cornbread. Win.
4...races I really, really, really want to sign up for right now, but they must wait till February or March. By then, I'm sure I'll have at least 7 more. Oh, the problems of wanting to run everywhere I can...
1...text message that made me smile all of Monday night.
I would just like it to be known that as much of a child as I am, someone sent all of my Christmas presents to my apartment, since he doesn't have a mailbox anymore, and I didn't peak at one. He gets his birthday present out of my clutches with specific instructions not to open it until his birthday (January 21), and it "magically" gets opened 9 hours later. Who's the bigger child now, sir? And, yes, I realize you all know the boy's name now...couldn't keep the mystery forever...one day soon, I'll tell our story...it's a pretty good one, if I do say so myself.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!
What's a number in your life right now? Counting down to anything exciting?? Is this week dragging for you too?

that joe - so sneaky :) i am so jealous by how small your countdown is. mine is still in triple digits so i'm definitely operating on the "one countdown at a time" method - currently mine is at 10 days since i see tex mlk weekend. then the only countdown i care about is the one till you arrive!
ReplyDeleteI know right?? He loves it, though...keep getting texts about "helicopter time!"...pretty sure I'm going to regret getting him that since I think he already likes it more thank me ;) And I can't wait!!!! EEEEEEEEEEE soooooooo close :)
DeleteThat is sneaky! I'd have trouble not opening it too...I like surprises, but if it's right in front of me I'm going to have trouble keeping it one!
ReplyDeleteAnd yay countdown until he's home! Slowly but surely, it'll get here :-)
I know!! Yeah, I probably should have added that I stuck the boxes in the closet so they were out of sight out of mind...but that's not important ;) And yes ma'am, we're getting there!
Deleteawww Melt my heart!!! so cute!
ReplyDeletehaha thanks love :)
DeleteI love numbers posts! I have one planned for Saturday and I'm super excited about it :) I want to hear the story!!!!! Also, can I just say that hanging out with you guys is going to make coming back to the mid-atlantic so. much. easier.?
ReplyDeleteHave a fun couple of days left at work, girl!
Thanks darlin!! And seriously, that visit is one of the best things about January :) Cannot wait to play with some of my favorite people in person!!
DeleteWOOO dc so soon. it is crazy it is this month. already counting down. I am so excited you only have three more days of work!
ReplyDeleteI know!! Me tooooo :)
DeleteHaha I can't wait until Smash comes on as well!! It's been so. long. I'm dying. And I totally love Katherine McPhee. She was my favorite when she was on American Idol. I looove your countdown until the boy comes home, that sounds like exactly what I would do too. :)
ReplyDeleteI love Katherine McPhee too!! She's my favorite by far :) And I think you would, too, since we're twins and all ;)
DeleteHooray for your impending big changes, and for Joe's home-for-good date being within sight! I bet those days are going to go by faster than you think -- you have so much awesome stuff going on (including that pedi and DC trip!), you'll suddenly find that the countdown is down to 20 days and you'll wonder where the time went. :) Hope your last few days at work go wonderfully - I'm so happy for these wonderful opportunities heading your way!
ReplyDeleteI think and hope you're right, Lillian! January will go fast (it always does), but February is notoriously sucky for me, so I'm trying to fill it with fun things now haha! And thank you for your kind words :) I'm so glad you're back from Texas!! I missed you <3
DeleteYay for transitions to come!! Count 'em down, girl!! So many lovely things in your future to look forward to! :D
ReplyDeleteYes ma'am! I'm on it :)
DeleteGirl, you have so many awesome things happening in your future. So excited for you!
ReplyDeleteThanks love :) I'm pretty excited too!
DeleteI am so behind when it comes to commenting on blogs right now!! That darn Netflix!! I love numbers posts too! I know that you can't wait until Joe comes home and think that countdown is very appropriate. Um, I would check in all the time....All of the time.
ReplyDeleteI think that changes can be exciting! Makes our tummy's flip flop, but in a total good way!
At least it's for a good reason ;) ANd I definite do :)
DeleteJoe is boy...got it. Cute texts :) Looks like you have lots to look forward to all coming up :D Lucky gooseling, you.
ReplyDeleteI do indeed, love, and I'm very lucky indeed :)
DeleteI love the piece of the story you told me about the boy (Joe). So cute! I am just like you with Pinterest. So many recipes and all unmade. We should get on that together!
